Internet Myth #5: Dogs are Carnivores. Their digestive tracts are much different than that of a human.

The reality is that dogs are Omnivores (although some call them Facultative Carnivores which is pretty much the same as Omnivores). In the wild, wolves will eat berries, plant material and the ingesta/intestines of the herbivore animals they prey upon.

Anatomically and physiologically, you would be amazed at how similar a humans digestive tract is to that of a dogs. One of the very few significant differences is that dogs do not have an appendix.
